We’re excited to announce over 60 members of staff from across Matrix Academy Trust will be taking on the challenge of the Three Peaks Challenge – all in support of the amazing Birmingham Children’s Hospital!

What is the Three Peaks Challenge?

The Three Peaks Challenge involves summiting the three highest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – all within 24 hours! This will test our endurance, strength, and team spirit while giving all involved a truly unforgettable experience.

The Three Peaks Challenge is a thrilling and intense endurance adventure that involves climbing the tallest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—all within a 24-hour period. The challenge covers around 23 miles of hiking, with a total ascent of nearly 10,000 feet, and participants typically drive over 450 miles between the peaks! Known for testing both physical and mental stamina, the challenge offers breathtaking scenery, from the rugged landscapes of Ben Nevis to the dramatic views of Snowdonia. It’s a popular way to raise funds for charity and bond with teammates, giving participants a huge sense of accomplishment and a great story to tell.

A huge thank you to everyone involved. We will post updates regarding the challenge throughout the year on our website page – https://matrixacademytrust.co.uk/threepeaks/
