Matrix Royal Air Squadron Trophy

On Saturday 13th April our Cadet Contingent held the inaugural MATRIX Royal Air Squadron Trophy (RAST) competition here at school. Six teams of cadets from across the Trust came together to compete in six events to see who would be crowned 2024 champions of the ‘Dame Maureen Brennan Shield’. The day was long and the competition fierce!

Each team competed in First Aid, Command/Leadership Tasks, RAF Knowledge, Aircraft Recognition, Marksmanship and the one everyone wants to win – Drill.

Congratulations to all the teams who competed…the final standings of the top three teams were: 1st- Barr Beacon A Team. Joint 2nd – Barr Beacon B Team/Bloxwich Academy. Teams are already practising for next year.
