Community Champions Unite: Pupils Collaborate for Fundraising Success!
In an inspiring display of teamwork and creativity, pupils from all schools across Matrix Academy Trust came together for a special event aimed at discussing ideas to raise funds for our chosen charity, Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Each school had two pupils to represent their school as part of the Community Champions initiative. These champions spent the day brainstorming, sharing ideas, and planning exciting fundraising activities that will benefit both their individual schools and the trust as a whole.
The morning was filled with energy and enthusiasm as the pupils worked together, exploring innovative ways for our schools to put on charity events and make a positive impact within their school communities. From bake sales to sponsored challenges, the pupils brainstormed events that would engage their peers, teachers, and local communities, raising vital funds for the hospital’s ongoing work.
We are incredibly grateful to Dale from the fundraising team at Birmingham Children’s Hospital for taking the time to inspire the pupils with insights about the hospital’s work and the importance of their contributions. Our pupil’s passion for the cause was contagious and encouraged us all to think outside the box when it comes to raising money for such an important institution.
Now, the next step for the Community Champions is to present their fundraising ideas to their respective headteachers. We can’t wait to see these plans come to life over the course of the academic year, as they take the lead in making their school events a reality.
Thank you to all the pupils involved for their enthusiasm and dedication, and a special thanks to Dale for supporting the initiative. We are excited to follow the journey of these incredible young people as they work together to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital, spreading the spirit of giving throughout our trust. Stay tuned for updates on their events and fundraising progress!
