Matrix Academy Trust puts staff wellbeing at the heart of what they do. Each of our schools have signed up to the DFE Wellbeing Charter to show their organisational commitment to promoting staff wellbeing and reducing workload. Working in a Matrix Academy Trust school also means that you will have access to a package of health and wellbeing support. Part of this is the School Wellbeing Service which is a support service for staff that offers 24 hour access to a GP for staff members and their family, a counselling service and access to physiotherapy services. There are also services focused around fitness including a weight management programme and online gym workouts. Staff can also access specialist support including menopause, chronic illness and bereavement support.

All of our current staff who have used this service are hugely complimentary of the support that has been provided. As part of this commitment, we also offer all staff a free flu vaccine which is administered in school time and on school site by a registered pharmacist – we recognise the difficulty of sometimes accessing healthcare around the working day so have offered this to make life easier for our staff. In the summer term, staff are also able to access a free health screening. A qualified nurse visits all of our schools and staff are able to get their blood pressure, cholesterol and BMI checked and have a general chat about their physical and mental health.

We are extremely proud of our commitment to reducing workload and our commitment to staff wellbeing at Matrix Academy Trust and believe that this is something that sets us apart. Why not come and see for yourself what it is like to work in a Matrix school.
